Sleepy airport
Sitting here in the Concrete airport and watched a gyrocopter just take off. Brought to mind that scene in Road Warrior where that skinny guy took off in one and eventually crashed. They just don't look like they should be able to fly.
Today's weather is better here than yesterday. We had overcast and it was a bit cool. Today the sun is coming out, burning off the clouds and we may see more planes today. There's also a chopper here that has been taking workers to and from the dam for some seismic survey. They start about 7:30 in the morning and it is a short hop by chopper since they are back in jig time.
We went to the Hub and had a beer and split a burger yesterday. That was just enough since neither of us was particularly hungry. We also did a little rockhounding on Grandy Creek and found some jade. Our first time finding this since neither of us really knows what the heck we are doing. Sure was pretty there. Prehistoric with all the big boulders, small waterfalls, and heavy tree overgrowth.
I have to head back to work life this afternoon and am not looking forward to it. I have ironing waiting for me as well as some other chores. Bummer. No ironing gremlins around my house to do that for me.
