Goodbye Grandma

A stalwart heartbeat of our family is silent.  Her sage advice, silly humor, and understanding hugs are now being shared with her family members that have passed on.  I fully expect her to be sitting over tea and a cookie talking with my Mom, her brothers Jake, Harold, and the rest of her siblings, or fixing Grandpa and Kay a cup of coffee and sandwich.  There's a joyful reunion happening in the heavens somewhere.  I feel relief in her passing as she wanted to go, but mourn the loss of a lighthouse beacon and sheltering harbor for those of us left behind.  She will be sorely missed.
