A picnic!
We are BROKE! Waiting for customers to pay us. It is proving an adventure as we're rediscovering the free things to do. Saturday was so beautiful we went on a picnic on Chuckanut drive. Turned into a study on human nature. A tree had fallen across the road so people were gathered trying to figure out how to get the one large branch cut or broken away so that one lane of traffic could get through.
While the "committee" that had formed were discussing what resources or tools any of them had and how to repurpose them on the branch, a lady in a van was bound and determined to get through NOW. She was not very nice; as if these people were the ones who put the tree in her way. Finally my husband couldn't stand her anymore and he and a couple guys pulled the limb back enough for her to get through. As she went through several people muttered "bitch". Just after she went through and they worked on it a bit more it broke so one lane was now freed up. A couple minutes of directing traffic and we were on our way.
Duh. I got streaming local news on the computer now too. Why I didn't think of that sooner I don't know. Not technically savvy that way. Nice to know what's going on locally again.
